@sciontcdude I’m not here to give out business advice, but if he once had a successful business, then something like DIYers killed it, the business clearly did not adapt.
Also, I do have family members who have started and had failing businesses, but now have very successful small businesses because they adapted. Regardless, if you’re a small business owner, you should know that if your niche begins to fall away, you have to adapt in order to survive.
Can’t blame Lowes’ videos for that.
@Jackal858 how would he have kept up with the changes to the market..he couldnt do a thing except maybe be a local small time part supplier (competing with lowes) ?…if you or a family member that was close to you had a small shop and were struggling u would understand…people spending 400$ on a tattoo to make themselfs look pretty and not wanting to spend 35$ on a estimate for a washer
@13sublime well ya if your struggling obviously take care of yourself but if your doing well off and your trying to save 35$ from an in home microwave diagnosis..thats effed up
@sciontcdude So, basically, his business became less useful as people began to empower themselves to do the same work? Sounds like he didn’t keep up with changes in the market.
@SRxxlOve Did you ever resolve your problem?
lows is awesome
@SRxxlOve Wow, locking hardwood floors. There are a lot of variables involved in squeaky floors. Here’s an article with some helpful tips that may apply to your floors: goo. gl/YJkns
does anyone know how to fix squeaky locking hardwood floors?? D:
so what holds the planks in place? are they not nailed down?
how do you trace the lines for the starting point before installing it???
@AndrewStergiou
Christ, get a life mate. if you dont like it, dont do it, and let everyone else make their own decisions about what they want to do. perhaps youre an incompetent fool who cant follow instructions that come with the product… but that doesnt mean everyone else is. people who are interested in doing this can get a little bit of a heads up even if it isnt the whole story
@sciontcdude
so DIYers should fork out money unnecessarily when alot of ppl are struggling as it is just to help out someone else stay afloat? wouldnt you rather do something yourself and save money rather than handing it to someone else be them local or not?
If you do this in a kitchen…Do you have to take out the counters or can you just lay them around the bottom of the counters?
To all the ignorant folks who thumbs up this video, please notice the Lowes disclaimer at the end stating they are not responsible for errors that is an indication of the nature of these types of videos half baked with half truths of half knowledge.
Is it a good video well that is an iffy question since what was said was artfully done but misleading (consumerist school of brand name merchandising) to use of another Lowe’s tool to push in finishing nails in and flush.
@TheBrassHole Lowes also produces videos like this which make people steer away from hiring the local handyman…my dad owned a small shop for fixing appliances. the diy’ers cause the small guys to go under
@DelbertStinkfester LOL.
Building code shmuilding code
Thanks for the video.
Nicely done video. The Lowe’s guy in the video looks like the guy that does the Youtube Rockwell Encabulator Video.
Lowes employs thousands of Americans, thus keeping their families off tax payer welfare and off the streets. Thanx for the help in this video Lowes!
Thank you, good tips
FANTASTIC!
Great Video!!! Thanks for sharing it to all of us.
Wooot, time for some oak flooring.
